Bricks and pancakes make a lovely match, at least for crooner and queen of quirk, Beth Ditto. Clad in a belted, brick-print frock by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Ditto hammed it up during the Christmas illuminations launch of BHV in Paris last night. She even put down the platter to pop her head inside JC/DC’s jacket! There’s no hiding from us, Ditto…

Before trucking to the Crosby Street Hotel for the Cinema Society screening of Broken Embraces, several guests stopped off at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Not for the usual pre-film cocktail, but to check out Dani Stahl and Elena Kiam’s Lia Sophia Midnight II collection. Kate Lanphear, Fabiola Beracasa, Stacey Bendet, Ali Wise and J Errico all dropped in to mix and match the rocker-chic baubles and wash it all down with a cocktail or two. Stahl, a natural born stylist, piled on the pieces with abandon. “I guess it really is true,” she said. “More is always more!” (more…)

London-based designers Cutecircuit rigged up this illuminated creation, composed of over 24,000 multi-colored LED lights. Can you spot the batteries? They are hidden throughout layers of chiffon and provide 30 minutes to an hour of glow time. If you dare to don this dress, there will be no need for chandeliers, my dear.

This sterling silver necklace by Sydney-based artist, Nathan Thomas, perfectly replicates iPod earbuds, but in the most delicate way. The chain is available for $419 at Oye Modern. But don’t try and plug these into your iPod; the earphones may not be able to blare your personal playlist, but they are infinitely more chic than your old plastic pair, non?

Jeremy Scott’s latest cartoonish confection has plastered a grin to our faces. Front rowers received the tote at the designer’s show this September, and now you can inject a little whimsy into your afternoon while toting around this Jeremy Scott for Longchamp bubblegum pink carryall. But unlike a bone, if you throw this bag at us, we won’t give it back to you!

A calendar that doubles as a sweet treat? Oui, s’il vous plaît! We are hankering for a bite out of this holiday calendar of a digitized evergreen tree—that is made entirely out of chocolates! Luckily, there is no rule that you only have to indulge in one candy a day…

Sometimes it’s hard to be a Chicaholic. One too many cocktails in the evening and the next day is an absolute wash. But in lieu of the typical parade of recovery drinks (coffee, Emergen-C, Diet Coke, water, etc. etc.) Code Blue is a one-shot solution that combines a bevy of benefits. Originally concocted by a former brand manager for Grey Goose (natch) and his fellow entrepreneurs, it delivers a super dose of electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to your damaged system. The highly scientific ingredients like D-Ribose, Sustamine and N-Acetly-Cysteine boost energy recovery, promote muscle hydration and help remove those infamous free radicals from your bod. Throw in some milk thistle (strengthens liver), prickly pear extract (anti-inflammatory) and agave nectar (natural sweetener) and voila, you’re covered on all fronts–sans caffeine, no less. And while many “miracle” drinks are purely hype, rest assured that this is Chicaholic-tested and approved! Stock up now; your hangover will thank you.

Who knew you could get so sporty–literally–in your Sportmax? The little sister of Max Mara put on quite the performance last Thursday in the second installment of the brand’s collaboration with Sebastien Agneessens of Formavision and musician Kyle Fischer. Acclaimed choreographer Jodi Melnick took to the New York boutique’s space for a performance…while wearing a look from the Fall 2009 runway collection.
