Some flawlessly toned Manhattanites have been attending the ballet-inspired classes at Physique 57 religiously for the past three years. Not so here at Chic Report– we only recentlydiscovered this uber-grueling (yet seriously rewarding) workout routine, and we yearn for the day when the new DVD is unleashed so we can sweat freely and peacefully àla maison. Anyway, good news to all you Hampton types: Physique is once again offering classes at its outpost in Bridgehampton–four or five a day, in fact. What better way to repent from nights of excess at Surf Lodge? THE DETAILS: Physique 57 Bridgehampton, 264 Butter Lane Barn, (631) 537-5722
One of our most vivid memories from Gotham’s last fashion season was seeing Coco Rocha running about backstage with an E! microphone–instead of walking in the shows. The gig marked her first television job, and she made the most out of it by hunting down virtually every top celebrity and editor with her faithful producer and camera crew. Last night, she unveiled the body of work to a group of friends at the Bryant Park Hotel during a party co-hosted by Elite Model Management. Friends like Behati Prinsloo came out to share the popcorn and watch Rocha test her interviewing skills on the likes of Heidi Klum and Anna Wintour. Above is your Chic Report preview of this E! Canada masterpiece…
Remember the days when mom and dad would yell at you for playing with your pasta? The old regime is out the door with the new collection of connect the dots dinnerware by Edith Levin from new store Haus Interior. For Intermix’s first-ever ad campaign, the brand has turned up the volume on that signature hot pink flower. Enlisting the help of Orphan creative agency (which has worked with the likes of Thakoon and Charlotte Ronson), Intermix went for an edgy vibe on the images, which will appear both in-print and in-store. (When Chic Report stopped by the Bleecker Street shop this weekend, a freshly painted version decorated one wall.) As though the Stella McCartney, Elizabeth and James, and Balmain treasures weren’t draw enough…
It it just us, or it is un peu strange that two of the most iconic French fashion houses have turned to the British to front their latest fragrance ad campaigns? Not that anyone needs an excuse to plaster Kate Moss’s visage on anything, but the YSL fragrance is called Parisienne, non? And as for Keira Knightly’s next turn as the face of Coco Mademoiselle? French or not, we love…
Selfridges is turning 100, and to celebrate the big occasion Louis Vuitton has launched a Concept Store at the Oxford street flagship to celebrate its timeless Speedy bag. The display is quite impressive–not to mention that clients who shell out for these Louis classics may have them monogrammed on the spot.
